Stomach Enzymes

Maintains gastric pH (stomach acidity) to promote healthy digestion and support overall nutrient absorption.

Stomach Enzymes

Too often, indigestion is attributed to excess stomach acid when the opposite is frequently the real problem. When this is the case, acid blockers only exacerbate the problem. Stomach Enzymes contains the digestive enzyme pepsin and hydrochloric acid (HCI) which are vital to the proper digestion of protein and the efficient absorption of vitamins and minerals. Pepsin works with HCI to provide complete protein digestive support.

Does Not Contain: Gluten, corn, yeast, artificial colors and flavors.

Recommended Use:

When you eat a meal that contains at least 15-20 grams of protein (4 – 6 oz of meat):

    1. Take 1 capsule of Betaine and Pepsin at the end of the meal
    2. Notice if you feel any discomfort in the stomach or belly button area. This may include: a warming sensation, heaviness, burning, bloating or other GI distress. If any of these symptoms occur and become uncomfortable, you can drink 8 oz. of water mixed with 1 teaspoon of baking soda (aluminum free if possible). This will neutralize the acidity. **If you notice any of these symptoms you DO NOT NEED Betaine and Pepsin.
    3. If you don’t notice any symptoms when taking 1 capsule with a protein meal, stay at this dosage for each meal with protein that day.
    4. The next day you can increase to 2 capsules taken at the end of meals with protein. Monitor for any symptoms. You can continue to increase your dosage by 1 capsule each day until you notice symptoms as described in #2 above, or you reach 5 pills.
    5. When you experience symptoms, you will know your ideal Betaine and Pepsin dosage is 1 capsule LESS than the dose that caused the symptoms. For example, if you felt the discomfort going from 4 pills to 5 pills, then 4 pills is your proper dosage for each protein meal. You can then switch to taking your capsules at the beginning or with your meals.
